I’m eating less but I’m still not losing weight?

Still struggling with losing weight

losing weight

I’ve heard this so many times now that I had to write a blog on it,

So many people I’ve encountered in the gym with the same problem.

“Bro I’m eating less but I’m still not losing weight”

“Bro how should I lose stubborn fat”

To which I tell them to consume fewer calories than you burn.

To which they reply how much less should I eat bro I’m eating close to nothing.

But let’s discuss this specific problem in much more detail.

So the average person doesn’t know about calories and doesn’t have a single clue about how to manipulate them to lose some weight.

Now you have to understand the basics, which is if you consume fewer calories than you burn regularly, it is impossible to not lose weight.

Because your body will start using excess stored calories for fuel.

And you’ll drop the weight till you hit a plateau now if someone wants to lose weight and comes at me with this problem.

I’ll simply tell them to count their current maintenance calories subtract 500 calories from it and consume the remaining calories every day until they hit a plateau and stop losing weight.

The problem people face is that they think eating fewer calories means eating less food, which is not the case.

Have you ever seen any bodybuilder who is in his cutting face for the competition? He doesn’t starve himself.

He changes the types of food he consumes because there are high-calorie dense foods low-calorie dense foods and even zero-calorie foods.

Now if I have to give someone advice in general regarding weight loss.

Instead of telling them to eat 1 or 2 meals a day which consist of all the high-calorie dense foods like butter, ghee, oil dense, deep fried, high-fat milk, sodas, alcohol, nuts, nut butter, fatty meat and processed foods.

I’ll tell them to go for low-calorie dense foods like vegetables, fruits, lean meat, water, white rice, oats, boiled potatoes or boiled food.

Because when our goal is to lose weight, we should aim to reduce overall calories rather than the amount of food we eat.

I even told someone not to drink protein powder because it is in liquid form, and is not very filling.

I told him to consume something hard to chew and in this situation, I told him to eat chicken breast because after finishing it at least his stomach will be a little bit full compared to a liquid drink.
